Gulf Spay Neuter Campaign

After the devastating destruction from Katrina, the HSUS moved swiftly to assist communities with their four legged family members. Part of that assistance came in the form of a two state, Louisiana and Mississippi, Spay and Neuter campaign – designed to decrease overpopulation and therefore reduce the number of animals entering the shelter system. The campaign was so successful, the HSUS licensed the campaign to more than 24 other cities across the U.S.
